Terms in plain words

What you are agreeing to, without the fog.

Free for agencies until the date below, a product that points at openings rather than predicting transfers, and a short list of things you may not do with the output. Ten sections, and section 4 is the one that matters.

Last updated 25 October 2026

The short version

  • Access is per account and checked first. Agencies use it free until 1 March 2027; after that you pay only if you choose a plan.
  • An opening is not a prediction that a transfer will happen — it is a reading of a situation, offered so you can decide whether to make the call.
  • Your player list is yours, readable only by your account, and deleted when you say so.
  • Don't share your sign-in, scrape the feed, or resell the output — the underlying football data is licensed to us and does not travel with it.

01

Who this is between

These terms are between you — the individual using transferlink, and the agency or club you use it for — and transferlink B.V., registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce number 89562133. Using the product means accepting them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may.

They are written to be read. Where a clause would normally be three lines of hedging, it is one sentence saying what actually happens.

02

Access, and what it costs

Access is granted per account, after we have checked who you are and who you work for. There is no uptime commitment, no support window, and no guarantee that a feature present today is present next month — the roadmap is public precisely so that nobody has to guess.

Coverage is five competitions and ninety-six clubs on purpose, not by accident. The product does not claim to see the rest of the market, and a competition we do not carry is a competition we say nothing about.

An agency that joins now uses transferlink free until 1 March 2027, without a payment card. After that date an agency pays only if it chooses a plan on the pricing page; nothing renews by itself, and we tell you well in advance. The first 100 agencies keep their founding price for as long as the subscription runs without a break. Clubs post their requests free until the same date; after it a club pays €149 a month (excl. VAT, cancel monthly), only if the club chooses to continue, and a club's first request stays free.

Nothing here creates an exclusive arrangement in any market or for any club.

03

What the product is

transferlink reads professional football data and points at situations where an opening may be forming: a role that has changed hands, a departure nobody has replaced, a player whose place in the side has gone. Each one comes with the evidence underneath it and where that evidence came from.

Some cards also carry a written analysis, produced by a language model with open-web search, and a check against open sources. Both are labelled as what they are, with the date they were made.

04

What it is not — read this one

An opening is not a prediction that a transfer will happen. It is a reading of a situation, offered so that you can decide whether it is worth a phone call. We measure ourselves on whether the call was worth making, not on whether a club signed somebody, and we are telling you that here rather than only in our own documents.

It is not advice. Nothing in the product is legal, financial, contractual or regulatory advice, and nothing in it substitutes for your own judgement about a player, a club or a deal. You are the professional; the product is a source.

It is not complete, and it is not always right. Data arrives late, sources contradict each other, and a card can rest on a fact that has since changed. We suppress what we can detect and publish the check dates so you can see how fresh a claim is — but you should verify anything you are about to act on.

It has no relationship with the clubs or players it describes. Appearing in the product implies no endorsement, no mandate, no representation and no connection of any kind. Product illustrations on the public site — the engine replay, the sample brief — are illustrative scenarios rather than live output.

05

What you may and may not do with it

Your access is for you and the organisation you named. Please do:

  • read the feed, act on what is useful, and tell us when it is wrong;
  • use what you find in your own work with clubs and players.

Please do not:

  • share your sign-in, or give access to people outside the organisation you named;
  • scrape, bulk-export, or systematically copy the feed, and do not run automated requests against it;
  • republish or resell the output as a data product, or feed it into one — the underlying football data is licensed to us and does not travel with it;
  • use it to make an automated decision about an individual, or for anything unlawful, including approaching a player in breach of the rules that bind you;
  • represent transferlink's reading as a club's position, or as a fact we have not stated.

You remain responsible for your own regulatory obligations — FIFA and national association rules on agents and approaches are yours to keep, and the product neither checks them nor excuses them.

06

What you put in, and what you keep

Your player list is yours. We do not sell it, do not share it, do not use it to advertise to anyone, and do not mix it into another customer's view. Other accounts cannot read it, and that is enforced by the database rather than by which screens exist.

We use it for one thing: running your book against the market for you, and improving how well that works. Delete it and it is gone; close the account and it goes with it.

You are responsible for having the right to enter the details you enter, and for the accuracy of any note you write about a player.

07

What belongs to whom

The product, its interface, its wording, its models, its evaluation record and the findings it produces belong to transferlink. Your access is a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use it — nothing in it transfers ownership of anything.

The underlying football data belongs to its provider and is licensed to us for use in this product. Using transferlink gives you no rights in that data beyond reading it here.

08

Club requests: what we are, and what you answer for

We bring verified clubs and verified agencies together. Transferlink is not a football agent. It does not act for anyone, does not negotiate, earns nothing from a transfer, and is not a party to any agreement between a club, an agency and a player.

Each side answers for the rules that apply to it: the FIFA Football Agent Regulations, the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, its national association's rules, and the law. In particular:

  • an agency only offers a player for whom it holds a valid written representation agreement and who knows he is being offered to that club; the end date and the FIFA licence number it gives are true and its own; and it does not offer players under 16;
  • a club informs a player's current club in writing before it negotiates with him, where the rules require that, and only makes available players it may place;
  • details about a player, entered by either side, are accurate and are shared only for this purpose.

The fee. A fee is set by the club and owed by the club to the agency of the player who signs. It is settled directly between them, and they put it in writing and in the transfer documents. Receiving it can mean the agency also acts for the club in that transfer, which needs the player's prior written consent. Transferlink does not collect, hold or guarantee any payment and is not liable for it.

The record. Statements made here — the mandate, the acceptance of a fee, a reported registration or payment — are kept in the sealed dossier of the request. They can be shown to the other party and, in a dispute, to the body deciding it.

Stopping a deal. As long as no one has reported on Transferlink that the player signed and is registered, the club can stop a deal, with a reason. The fee is then not owed, subject to the following. Transferlink does not decide; a fixed rule applies. From the stop until the end of the transfer window open in the club's country at that moment, or the next one if none is open (at least 30 days, at most eight months), we check automatically whether the player joins the club after all: in the squad data of our data provider Sportmonks and on Transfermarkt. If it shows within that period that the player is at the club (the same player and the same club, not one with a similar name), the stop lapses: the deal stands, the signing counts as confirmed and the fee is owed, also if the player signed through another agency or without one. If not, the stop stands and no fee is owed through Transferlink. If neither source can check the player, the stop stands. The agency can object; the club is told, the rule decides. Once both sides confirmed a signing, a deal can no longer be stopped: the fee is owed. If it is still open 14 days later, we send the club a reminder.

A report by the agency. While that check runs, the agency can report that the player signed for the club after all, with a link as proof. The club then has seven days to say on Transferlink that it is not right, with a reason. Without a reply the stop lapses, with the same consequences as above. If the club says it is not right, the automatic check decides. Whoever makes a report or a reply declares that it is true.

No going around. A club that was offered a player through Transferlink does not sign that player within the period above around the agency, directly or through another agency, to avoid the fee. If it does, the fee is owed as if the deal went through the agency, also if the automatic check does not see it.

A reported signing. Once the player is officially the club's (contract signed, medical passed, registered with the association), the agency reports it. The club confirms it, or says within 7 days, with a reason, that it is not right. Without a reply within 7 days the report counts as confirmed and the fee is owed.

A disputed signing. If the other side says the report is not right, Transferlink does not decide; a fixed rule applies. For 14 days we then check Transfermarkt automatically every day. If it shows the player at the club, the signing counts as confirmed and the fee is owed. If not, the deal does not go ahead on Transferlink and no fee is owed through Transferlink. If club and agency disagree about that, they settle it between them, outside Transferlink; Transferlink does not mediate.

Worldwide. Club requests, offers and fees work in any country; a club chooses whether agencies worldwide, in certain regions or in certain countries see its request. Transferlink is not available to organisations from countries under comprehensive EU sanctions. Each side follows the rules of its own association and the law of its own country, also in an international transfer.

Accepting these terms. A club accepts these terms before it posts its first request, an agency before it offers its first player. The acceptance holds for the whole organisation; we keep who gave it, when and for which version. When these terms change, we ask again.

Translations. What the other side writes may be shown to you translated into your own language. A translation is an aid: the original is what was said and what counts. Check amounts, dates and terms in the original before you agree to anything; it is always one tap away.

Question suggestions. When you ask the club something, we may suggest questions. They are suggestions: you choose, edit and send yourself, and you answer for what you ask. To improve them we count which suggestions are chosen and answered, without using the text of questions and answers.

We may suspend or close an organisation that breaks these rules or misleads the other side.

09

Ending it

You can stop whenever you like: write to us and the account and its contents are removed.

We can suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if we stop offering the product, or if we have to for legal or security reasons. Except in a case of misuse, we will say why and give you the chance to take your own data out first.

10

Liability, honestly

transferlink is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it is complete, uninterrupted, or free of error, and section 4 explains exactly which errors we expect.

We are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of a card, for a deal that did not happen, for a deal that did, or for lost profit, lost opportunity or reputational harm. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months — which, while you use it free, is nothing.

None of this limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence on our part, or anything else that Dutch law does not permit us to exclude.

11

Changes, and which law applies

These terms will change as the product does; the date at the top says when they last did. Material changes are sent to account holders by email rather than quietly edited in.

Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If any clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands.
